Arbor Day
Spring has sprung and Bexley has started to bloom once again. This year, on Arbor Day (April 30) and all April long, we are celebrating with different community events that are fun for everyone! Whether you’re eager to get outside and explore the Bexley Arboretum, participate in a fun community wide scavenger hunt with the Bexley Public Library, get to know our Talking Tree, Treeodore, or visit our wonderful Bexley Fairy Garden at the South Community Gardens - we have an event just for you! Join the City of Bexley, Bexley Public Library and Bexley Community Foundation in celebrating Arbor Day throughout the month of April in Bexley!

Landmark Tree Bike Tour (Friday, April 29)
Meeting Place: Capital University Memorial Gateway (on Main St. across from Drexel Ave.)
Riders 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Cruise around the streets of Bexley  on April 29 from 11:00am-12:30pm to check out Bexley’s landmark trees with Sheila Straub & Dick O’Donnell. The bike route will visit trees in all corners of the city.

Arbor Day Celebration Event (Saturday, April 30)
On Saturday, April 30 from 10:00am-2:00pm, join us for a day full of activities! This event is free and you may stop in anytime during the event. Please be sure to register as a family (under an adult's name in your family). You will be asked how many people will be attending in your group).

Ongoing activities: Sidewalk chalk with BexArts, Bexley Fairy Village, Bexley’s “Treeodore” Talking Tree, Art with Emily Perfect, Activities at the South Community Garden, Piling dirt into Five Tree Wells for Tree Plantings, Fairy Hair, The BugMan and more!

Scheduled Activities:
BPL Story Times – 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm
Frogman on the Guitar – 11:15am and 12:15pm
