Junior Naturalist Program (June 10)
In this fun and informative woodland program, children can earn a Junior Naturalist Certificate. Kids will explore the woods with Shannon and take home a packet of nature hike activities to do at home, like leaf rubbings and much more. Certificates are awarded at the end of the hike.

Fairy House Building (July 1)
Summer is here, flowers are in bloom, fireflies are lighting up night skies and inspiring creativity and thoughts of woodland fairies. Using elements from nature, kids will discover and learn about the environment and how to protect it while constructing their very own fairy house. 

Instructor: Shannon Heist
Shannon is a Naturalist at Blacklick Woods Metro Park with the Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks. She has led  programs for all ages including Wild Edibles, Butterfly hikes, Flora & Fauna hikes, and many Fungi hikes. In her free time, Shannon enjoys baking and spending time with her dog, Rosie.
