OSO Fit Kids Workshops WI 24 (6 - 12 Years Old)
Workshop I (Jan. 24): “I See Me”
In this 2-hour workshop kids will learn how to use power words to persevere in challenging situations. We use running games and activities to teach growth mindset and encourage children to believe in themselves. Kids will also get to flex their creative muscles while completing a fun craft or art project to take home.
Workshop II (Mar. 15): “Goals and Grit”
In this 2-hour workshop Kids will learn the importance of setting goals and how to confront challenges using a growth mindset. We use fun running games and drills to teach resilience and grit. Kids will also get to engage their creative sides while completing a craft or art project to take home.
Instructor: Laura Maddox
Laura Maddox comes from a background in health and wellness with a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and is a long-standing volunteer for youth programs in the community. She is excited to combine her passion for fitness and her love for working with kids to give you her youth empowerment program, Oso Fit Kids Run Club.
