Ice Skate Bexley WI 25: Open Skate

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

ice skate
Ice Skate Bexley is BACK at Jeffrey Park! As you may also now know, we do not have a chiller for the ice and the freezing of the ice is reliant on consistent cold temperatures that remain below freezing. We hope you can come and enjoy open skate, music and FREE hot chocolate!

A special thank you to the Bexley Community Foundation for their support of this community program.

Registration Information
Open skate is available to Bexley Residents and Non-Residents! Registration will open once weather conditions permit and will be promoted up to 48 hours in advance. Registration will close at 3:00pm on weekdays and 11:59pm the night before each skating day on the weekends.
1. Registration must be done in advance online and is by time slot per day (If you happen to be in the middle of registering and only get half of your family in because it closes out, please reach out to us at 614.559.4300).
2. Maximum per time slot is 40.
3. The fee will be $6/skater and includes skate rentals.
4. Ice conditions may change due to weather. If you secure a spot, be sure to check your email before heading to the rink.

Rental Skates
1. Ice skates will be available for FREE as part of your registration, however sizes will be subject to availability.
2. If you have your own ice skates, we encourage you to bring them.
3. Any rented skates MUST be returned after you are done skating.
4. Adult sizes run in men's sizes, so women may need to go a 1-2 sizes smaller than normal.

Helmets
All participants 11 years old and younger will be REQUIRED to wear a helmet while on the ice and recommended for everyone 12 years old and up. We will have a limited supply of helmets on hand to borrow if needed

Refund Policy
It is very possible that time slots may be forced to cancel if the weather forecast changes after registration opens. If this happens, all payments will be fully refunded.

Expectations

This community ice rink is an outdoor, weather dependent program and may not compare to the experience you would get at The Chiller (i.e extreme smooth surface, zamboni every 1-2 hours, etc.) The outside elements will be a factor, including the sun. Parents will also be responsible for assisting young children as the walls are only 2 feet high.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Recreation Office at 614-559-4300.
