For activities labeled ALL AGES, please register as an individual adult and you will be asked how many family members will be attending with you.

Join us this summer for a variety of nature programming at Jeffrey Woods! Activities will be lead by different instructors as shown below. 

Caton Williamson (July 12)
Seasonal naturalist with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks. Ohio Wesleyan graduate with a major in Arts, Studio Arts and Zoology.  

Tom Kirker (July 26)
Tom is a retired Columbus City Schools elementary teacher and current ranger for the Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks. He is also the Bexley Recreation and Parks' resident outdoor educator. Tom has led numerous programs for us and a variety of other organizations. He regularly posts nature information and articles in local publications and social media. 

It’s a Small World Micro Walk (Jul. 12)
Join Caton and explore the micro-worlds within a woodland. Take a closer look at the gooey, crunchy, hairy, scaly colorful world of lichens, mosses, mushrooms and more with the help of spy glasses. Discover the little things within an ecosystem similar to how a bug may see life.

Creeking with Tom (Jul. 26)
Join Tom for this fun exploration of the shallows of Alum Creek at Jeffrey Woods. Have fun getting wet while learning the importance of watershed conservation, stream dynamics and Alum Creek life including fish, crayfish, mussels, insects, frogs and more. (Wear appropriate shoes/clothes for creeking).
