For activities labeled ALL AGES, please register as an individual adult and you will be asked how many family members will be attending with you.

Join us this summer for a variety of nature programming at Jeffrey Woods! Activities will be lead by different instructors as shown below.

Birding expert and volunteer tour guide with Columbus Audubon.

Columbus Astronomical Society (May 9)

Caton Williamson (May 10)
Seasonal naturalist with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks. Ohio Wesleyan graduate with a major in Arts, Studio Arts and Zoology.  

Spring Migratory Bird & Warbler Stroll (Apr. 26)
With their bright plumage and lively songs, spring is the prime season for birdwatching at Jeffrey Woods as migratory birds stop for rest and food. Join birding expert James Muller for a bird-informative stroll through Jeffrey Woods. (A bird list of what was seen will be emailed to you.)

Skywatching with Columbus Astronomical Society (May 9)
Explore the night sky with members of the Columbus Astronomical Society (CAS). When we look at a night sky, we are basically seeing the same sky people have seen for thousands of years. This program features an indoor presentation about the night sky with the opportunity to move outside for viewing through 6 telescopes pointed at different planets, star clusters and other features. (If inclement weather, the indoor program will still be offered.)

Nature Painting Class (May 10)
Create your own masterpiece in this class while painting a selected work of nature art created by the instructor. Caton will help you step-by-step create a painting suitable for framing. (Supplies provided, but wear appropriate clothing and bring an apron.)
