- Basic floral design tips and tricks
- How and where to source cut flowers
- Growing your own cutting flower garden
- Information about the specific flowers you will be working with.

Hypertufa Stone Class (Sep. 20)
Hypertufa is a lightweight, artificial stone material that mimics the look of natural tufa rock. Made with Portland cement, peat moss, and perlite, it can be used to create beautiful garden containers. Join us as Wendy Mangino shares the steps necessary to make your own special pot - with the exception of the list below, we will provide all materials.
Please bring:
Mask
Protective goggles
Rubber or latex gloves
A mold to use to shape your pot - plastic or glass but not anything you want to keep as it will not be re-usable (except to make more hypertufa!).
Growing Garlic (Oct. 22)
Instructor: Sean McKay, The Garden District
Whether you have grown it before or are interested in trying it, learn all you need to know to successfully grow and harvest garlic. We will send you home with garlic that can be planted immediately upon completion of the class. Cost includes the garlic.
This program is presented by the Bexley Community Gardens.
