This class is an introduction for beginners with emphasis on ground strokes.
Youth Tennis Lessons (9 - 12 Years Old)
This class is for students with limited playing experience. This class is introductory with an emphasis on ground strokes.
Please note: Session II shows five weeks, but one day will be off - TBA. You will receive confirmation of the date once confirmed by the instructor.
All participants must have their own racket.
The instructor has rackets available to sell at the first tennis class. All participants must provide their own racket. Below are some guidelines when selecting a racquet.
Rackets may be purchased on first day of class.
21 inches 4-6 years old
23 inches 6-8-years old
25 inches 8-10 years old
26 inches 11 years old
Instructor: Shelby Cheses
Shelby is a native of Bexley and has been playing tennis most of her life. She began teaching tennis while in high school giving private lessons and working for Bexley Recreation. She played four years of varsity tennis and won the Ohio State Doubles Championship her senior year at Bexley High School. Shelby will begin her 10th year of coaching at Bexley High School where she is the Girls Varsity Head Coach.
