Executive Functioning through Game Play
Is your child bright, but struggling with planning, problem solving and focus? Help build those essential executive functioning skills with our 6 week workshop where kids will learn those skills through cooperative game play. Students will learn and master the exciting but challenging board game ‘Pandemic.’ The game allows players to work together towards their goal, use deep problem solving skills, initiate tasks and focus with the group. They’ll even get a bit of geography in the mix.
Instructor: Betsy Zacks
Betsy has a Masters in Education from Northwestern University and has been a teacher, interventionist, and academic coach. She has a passion for math and science and loves to implement inquiry based instruction. She currently resides in Bexley with her husband and three children.
