The Bexley Community Gardens are offering a variety of classes and workshops this season. All classes and workshops are open to the public. Fees cover the cost of the instructor and items that are provided to participants such as supplies, plants, flowers, seeds, instruction booklets, etc.
Hyper Tufa Workshop (May 30)
Instructor: Wendy Mangino, Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteer
Join us and make a beautiful Hyper Tufa vessel. Class is limited to 12 participants, This will be an adult only class (18yrs and older) as we are working with cement dust and other particles that children should not be around. We will provide all materials to make the planters. Please bring safety glasses or goggles, a particle face mask, rubber gloves and any sturdy square, rectangular or round wash basin/bowl/container to use as a mold for your planter.
Pest Identification and Control in the Garden (Jun. 23)
Instructor: Tim McDermott, OSU Extension
Do you have uninvited guests munching on your plants? Learn how to identify the damage and what to do to prevent or minimize it.
Edible Herbs (Jul. 7)
Instructor: Maggie Harriman, Franklin County Master Gardener Volunteer and North Garden Plotholder
Learn everything you need to know to grow, harvest, preserve and cook with herbs.
