Splish, Splash & Dash Youth Triathlon SU 26 (4 - 14 Years Old) - SSD Youth Triathlon SU 26 (11 - 12) Join us for the 14th Annual Splish, Splash & Dash Bexley Youth Triathlon sponsored by the Bexley Community Foundation’s Youth and Recreation Fund! We are proud to offer a fun, multi-sport endurance event in a safe, supportive environment that promotes healthy lifestyles and an inclusive experience for all participants. We work closely with families to adapt courses to meet individual needs, ensuring accessibility across all age groups.The triathlon will require participants to complete a swimming, biking, and running course. With age divisions ranging from 4 to 14, varying distances will be selected for each leg that are age appropriate. 2nd Annual “Give it a Tri” Adaptive CourseAdditionally, we are excited to host our 2nd annual “Give It a Tri” adaptive course, designed specifically for children with developmental or physical disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, global developmental delays, and more. ALL abilities are welcome, including those that may require the use of flotation devices, adapted bikes, walkers, power wheelchairs, and other assisting devices. All athletes will be paired up with volunteers to encourage, assist and ensure safety.

Althoff, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Wildlife Conservation, Certified Wildlife Biologist, University of Rio GrandeFlying squirrels are some of the most spectacular and seldom-seen, forest-dwelling, nocturnal mammals. This spring, Donald Althoff, Ph.D and Wildlife Biologist installed several southern flying squirrel nest boxes throughout Jeffrey Woods. To better understand this intriguing glider, join Don as he presents the many facets of southern flying squirrels based on his long-term monitoring, observation, hard mast surveys and nest box occupancy during winters across 6 counties in southeast Ohio. Field techniques, handling of these squirrels, box design, hardmast surveys and observations will be discussed.
