Many birds are easier to identify with their brightly colored breeding plumage and lively songs. Jeffrey Woods is a great place to find migrating birds as they stop for food and rest. Join James and discover migrating warblers and some winged residents. A bird list of what was seen will be emailed to you. ODNR Warblers and Common Birds of Ohio booklet will be available to take home. Binoculars recommended.*Please have one adult (18+) register per household. Children are welcome to attend with the registered adult.Make & Take Butterfly/Hummingbird Hanging Basket (June 6) - 18+Instructor: Colleen Sapp, Bexley resident and Dill’s Greenhouse managerColleen will guide you on planting some of Dills’ richly-colored annuals to attract hummingbirds and butterflies to your outdoor space. During this popular class, you will also learn what flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Plants and basket supplies provided. Wear appropriate clothing, bring garden gloves and a trowel.Forest Therapy Walk at Jeffrey Woods (June 7) - 18+Instructor: Michelle Ward, founder of Buds in Bloom Forest Therapy Sanctuary, ANFT-certifiedForest therapy is a gentle, guided experience that invites you to slow down and connect with nature through your senses. Rooted in Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), this walk offers intentional time in the woods to support stress reduction, calm the nervous system and restore mental clarity. Expect an easy, meandering pace with moments of reflection, curiosity, and connection. This is not a hike or fitness class. Often misunderstood, fungi come in amazing shapes, colors and sizes while providing a network of important functions within a woodland ecosystem.
