Nature Programs WI/SP 26 (All Ages) - Spring Wildflower & Plant Stroll SP 26
All activities are for 8 and up, except the Houseplants class - adult only please! Mandala Rock Painting with Nora (Jan. 31) - 8+Instructor: Nora Steele, Naturalist/Nature ArtistJoin Nora, nature artist, as she guides you through the creation of Mandala Rock Painting. Register and then drop in any time between 1 pm - 3 pm to create a beautiful work of art with a mandala rock creation to take home.Supplies will be provided. Wear appropriate paint clothes. (You will need 45 minutes to complete your project, so plan accordingly.)*Adults are welcome to register individually, or participate with their child*Houseplants: Cool & New Houseplants and Houseplant Uses (Mar. 7) - 18+ Adult OnlyInstructor: Liz Hughes (Co-Owner Groovy Plants RanchJoin Liz, Co-Owner of Groovy Plants Ranch on an exploration of some of the newer, unique varieties of houseplants, such as aroids like Monstera and philodendrons. With renewed interest in houseplants, their uses have changed as well. Liz will share how you can integrate your houseplants into your outdoor spaces in warmer months. She will also be available to answer your houseplant questions at the end of the presentation.Spring Wildflower & Plant Stroll (Apr. 18) - 8+Instructor: Shannon Heist, Metro Parks NaturalistYay for Spring! Springtime is in bloom with emerging plants, leaves and also beautiful wildflower varieties including bloodroot, spring beauties, toothworts, bluebells, mayapples and more. Join Shannon for this leisurely stroll through a springtime Jeffrey Woods and experience the beauty of spring.*Please have one adult in the household per register. Children are welcome to attend with the registered adult.
