Hi! I’m Angela Buddendeck, Preschool Director at Jeffrey Mansion Preschool. This is my sixth year at JMP, and one of my favorite parts of my role is getting to know our students and families and watching children grow in confidence, independence, and friendships throughout their time here. I’m passionate about creating a preschool environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day. I also love working alongside our teachers to make JMP a place that feels welcoming and fun while preparing our students for what comes next. Outside of JMP, I’m a mom of three and spend much of my free time cheering on my kids from the sidelines, at the pool, and everywhere in between!

Alishia Dempsey serves as the Assistant Director of Jeffrey Mansion Preschool. For the 2026-2027 school year, she is also the Lead Teacher for the Bluebird Room. She attended Marshall University and brings a wealth of experience to her leadership and classroom roles. Alishia is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where children develop independence and a lifelong love for learning. When she isn't at the preschool, she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her family, which includes her own five children and two pups.

My name is Mr. Kyle Elder , and I am excited to be teaching here in the Bluebird Room! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Franciscan University in Steubenville and I joined the JMP team in August 2021. I love creating a classroom environment that’s full of creativity, curiosity, and laughter where everyone feels accepted and excited to explore and grow. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me thrifting, working on DIY projects, or playing with my two spoiled dogs!

Hi, my name is Caroline Leatherman! I grew up not too far from Bexley in Blacklick, Ohio. I recently graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Education. I am so excited to be back at JMP for my second year as the Goldfish Assistant! Outside of JMP, I love spending time with my friends and family, reading, and traveling.

I am thrilled to be entering my 3rd year teaching PreK at JMP in the Rainbow Room! This is my 11th year overall in education and my 6th year in PreK. I live in South Bexley with my 7 year old daughter, Greta (a JMP grad and now 1st grader at Montrose), my husband, Rob (Bexley class of 1997), and our cheweenie, Jerry Lee. I love to sing and dance and love all things Disney. Prior to finding my happy place as a PreK teacher, I worked as an instructional assistant for a multiple disabilities high school classroom with Columbus City Schools, and coached cheerleading at Bishop Hartley for 10 years. Now, in addition to teaching at JMP, I teach Sunday school at Temple Israel and am the assistant cheerleading coach at Bexley High School. My favorite part of teaching PreK is connecting with my students and their families. I love getting to know them and learning about their special interests. Every day in PreK is full of laughter, fun, and wonder. When not teaching, I enjoy time reading, spending time with my extended family, and watching terrible reality television. I'm thankful to be a part of this special community and can't wait to start making more Rainbow Room memories!

Tonia Smalley

My name is Mrs. Tonia Smalley. This is my third year as a teaching assistant of 4/5 year olds at Jeffrey Mansion Preschool. Working at Bexley Recreation and Parks in various jobs, (summer camp, SOCO, and before & after care), for 18 years has been amazing! I reside in South Bexley with my husband of 34 years, Troy. We have three grown children and 4 grandchildren. My hobbies include, adult coloring, and crafting. My husband and I enjoy camping with our dog, spending time on our 5 acres in southern, Ohio, and watching college football. My favorite color is purple! Camping is my Happy Place!7

My name is Stephanie Borders and I’m the lead teacher in the Bumblebee Room. I’m a lifelong Bexley resident and I live in South Bexley with my husband Brian and our two youngest daughters. This will be my third year teaching preschool at JMP. In my free time I enjoy reading and fiber arts. I am filled with gratitude and excitement for the 2026/27 school year!

Kate Stadler Pollock

My name is Kate Stadler Pollock and this will be my third year with JMP as an assistant teacher in the bumblebee room. I made a career change out of banking to find something more fulfilling and fell in love with both childcare and the Bexley community. Outside of work, you will find me at the skatepark or riding my motorcycle.

Hello! My name is Taylor Ringle, and I am the lead teacher in the Caterpillar Room at Jeffrey Mansion Preschool. I attended Capital University’s School of Education and graduated with a degree in Intervention. I worked at JMP from 2018–2022 as both an assistant and lead teacher. I then spent four years as an Elementary Intervention Specialist within Columbus City Schools, before my heart pulled me back to JMP. This is my 2nd year back. In my free time, I enjoy reading, kayaking, exploring new places around town, and spending time with my family.

Campbell Davison

Hi all! My name is Campbell Davison and I will be helping out as a floater during the day at JMP. When I am not helping at the preschool, I run the Maryland aftercare program and Camp Woods at Jeffrey Summer Camp. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone!

Luke Holcomb

My name is Luke Holcomb! I am the BACPack aftercare director at Montrose and Cassingham during the school year, and the Camp Park Director during the summer! I will be a float counselor around the preschool. I love to bike, quilt, play board games and card games with my friends, and see concerts.
