This class is suitable for all fitness levels and swimming abilities. Participants should be comfortable and able to stand and move independently in chest-high water. Please bring a bottle of water and wear water shoes if you have them. Full of fun, low-impact exercises, this class will keep your body moving!Instructor: Jenni Hunt Jenni is a zealous fitness advocate who has been teaching water fitness for three years after a life-changing weight loss. She encourages class participants to work at a level that challenges each one individually, and emphasizes that strength progression is essential to prevent muscle loss as we mature. Jenni also maintains an urban farm at her home just west of Bexley, is an avid crafter and sewist, and serves her community as a Near East Area Commissioner.

Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but didn’t think you could get up and down on a mat? Would you like to practice a gentle form of yoga in which you will sit or stand behind a chair? Chair Yoga is modified to be accessible to all. Science has shown that yoga is beneficial for everyone and it is never too late to benefit from exercising.Participants have the option to come in-person or participate via Zoom. Over the past five summers, we have taught introductory computer science and engineering to hundreds of campers in Bexley. With an instructor-to-student ratio of 1:8, campers receive individualized instruction as they work towards making projects based on their interests. Passionate about computer science and education, Elliot loves to teach, code and everything in between! His goal is to create the next generation of tools to teach computer science for a more accessible learning experience for all students.Ava took matters into her own hands, upon noticing a gender gap in STEM classes, and hosted an online coding camp for middle school girls during the summer of 2022. Ava’s goal is simple: to teach the necessary technical skills while creating a supportive and empowering environment for girls in STEM!

Pilates lengthens and strengthens the muscles as well as uses core strength for every exercise. Although pilates is non-aerobic, it is an extremely effective way to strengthen and condition the muscles of the abdomen and back, thus helping to build a “girdle of strength” around the spine. This class is designed to introduce you to mat pilates and is also for those with some experience.Instructor: Mindy SybertMindy is certified in Mat Pilates, Reformer, Tower, Chair, Cadillac and Barrel and has been with the Pilates Studio of Bexley since 2013. Her education is through STOTT and Balanced Body.  Mindy has  worked with all ages and ranges of clients and athletes including Cirque du Soleil, the Ohio State University football team and Columbus Dance Theatre.

Adventure Days is a modified version of our middle school Camp Adventure Summer Program run by Michael Vincent. Gather with friends, socialize, meet new friends, and overall just have a fun summer experience! Participants can sign up for individual trips or commit to all six and get a $50 discount (does not include Whitewater Rafting)! Tell your friends! Registration will close ONE week prior to the date of the trip. Please note, some trips may fill up before the deadline and wait lists may form. Age RequirementsThis program is for kids entering 6th grade - entering 9th grade (11-15). Studies have shown the positive benefits of yoga for all ages. Yoga involves linking the mind, body, and breath. You do not have to be flexible or fit to start practicing yoga. This class will teach you breathing techniques to calm the mind and/or energize the body. You will learn various poses to stretch and strengthen your muscles. Gentle Yoga is not a gym workout, but a body/mind work in. During the week, students will learn at least one theme on the display board, practice and create their own positions using that theme, and then engage in our week long camp tournament against other students. All students will be able to earn prizes for their hard work. Snack will be provided.Instructor: Kyle Jones Kyle has coached more than 20 schools over the past 20 years. Kyle graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's in Science in Psychology, is completing his Master’s in Early Childhood Education, earned his Protecting God’s Children certification, and has achieved the titles of Candidate Master (classical) and National Master (blitz) from the United States Chess Federation. Currently, he is ranked in the 99.5+ percentile for all players online in the world! From player to coach, Kyle has been a part of more than 40 state championship titles and 15 national titles. He became the first chess coach in national high school history to field the top two teams in the highest division in the same year. Moreover, he was crowned the 2015-16 State of Ohio Speed Chess Champion (3rd title overall). Additionally, he was honored by Fox Sports Ohio, the Dispatch, 10tv, the Governor, the Mayor, the Board of Education, the Senate and the House of Representatives for his chess achievements.

Candidate Master Instructor Kyle Jones will provide students with the opportunity to learn chess history, world champion openings, solve middle game puzzles, practice endgame patterns, and utilize the necessary tools for tournament play. During the week, students will learn at least one theme on the display board, practice and create their own positions using that theme, and then engage in our week long camp tournament against other students. All students will be able to earn prizes for their hard work. Snack will be provided.Instructor: Kyle Jones Kyle has coached more than 20 schools over the past 20 years. Kyle graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's in Science in Psychology, is completing his Master’s in Early Childhood Education, earned his Protecting God’s Children certification, and has achieved the titles of Candidate Master (classical) and National Master (blitz) from the United States Chess Federation. Currently, he is ranked in the 99.5+ percentile for all players online in the world! From player to coach, Kyle has been a part of more than 40 state championship titles and 15 national titles. He became the first chess coach in national high school history to field the top two teams in the highest division in the same year. Moreover, he was crowned the 2015-16 State of Ohio Speed Chess Champion (3rd title overall). Additionally, he was honored by Fox Sports Ohio, the Dispatch, 10tv, the Governor, the Mayor, the Board of Education, the Senate and the House of Representatives for his chess achievements.

Although pilates is non-aerobic, it is an extremely effective way to strengthen and condition the muscles of the abdomen and back, thus helping to build a “girdle of strength” around the spine. Gentle Yoga is not a gym workout, but a body/mind work in. Oso Fit Kids Run Club is a kids’ fitness and empowerment program, transforming traditional running games and drills into powerful life lessons. Each class will focus on a different empowerment skill paired with a running skill. Kids will learn power words, goal setting, resilience, positive thinking, and team building. For kids of all fitness levels! Kids will get a great workout while having lots of fun! This class is for both beginners and those who are still learning the basic poses, but are prepared to work on a more demanding  level in poses.  This class offers basic flexibility poses in different degrees of work. Please wear comfortable, loose clothing, (bare feet) and bring an empty stomach.Participants have the option to come in-person (Tuesdays) or participate via Zoom (Thursdays).
